I voted!
I would think that even if you clear cookies that the poll could be recording IP address. So just doing that may still be traceable due to IP.
Agree. It depends on how they have the polls setup. For a simple, quick, easy to design poll... they could be using the cookies as the "fail safe" and just incrementing the number in a database based on a vote. If they want to throw in security so they can do reporting (break down a poll based on demographic, location, etc...) then they would be logging multiple things to a database that goes along with each vote... and that would be IP, type of browser, type of OS, time, etc...
My guess is that they are probably doing the latter if their programmers are worth their salt... but if they are lazy then it very well could be the former. Access logs will still show the ladder even if they aren't storing vote info in a database.
We're winning by almost 10,000 votes! A giantto the Post.
Let's make it 20,000!
Voted. Keep it up guys, VOTE NOW- KICK THEIR LIBERAL ASSES!
We were winning 80-20
now we are only up 69-30 and falling fast.
I think they dropped the poll? And put up a new one? I was wondering what it ended at
They did drop it, and started a new one. Someone mentioned earlier in the thread about page 8 still has polls going on it....if I read that correctly.
They put up a new one on the home page... but the one regarding HB 1224 and 7 others are all still up and running here:

we've dropped another percent since I last checked.
Their script (or group) pounding the poll is running double speed compared to earlier this afternoon. They are picking up a percent about every 10-15 minutes now. They'll catch up in a few hours.
