Let's say you're one of the cops on scene. The rest of the team takes your gun from you, straps a camera to your head, and says, "He's only got two shots, Joe. You go in first and soak those up so the rest of us can come charging in behind your corpse." Now whose fault is it?

My only point is they used him as a shield and he's not smart enough to protest because he's a freaking dog. That just seems a little foul in my book.

That's why dogs are deployed in barricaded subject type situations. Better to have a dead dog than a dead officer.

So, what happened to the millions of dollars worth of robots these organizations have purchased?
They could have just waited him out - Well, not since the new California rules of judge/jury/executioner were enacted nation wide.
I agree with Teufelhund on this one.

Nice. Military and police are definitely the only ones who should be trusted to have those dangerous weapons, as demonstrated by this cop who doesn't know which way to mount his red dot. And is that one of those high-capacity assault clips, designed to kill as many people as possible, as quickly as possible?

Brings to mind a certain DEA agent: "I'm the only one I know qualified to handle this Glock fohty. . . bang!"
