    Default For something completely different...

    My son turns three today!
At least once every day, I entertain two diametrically opposed thoughts:
    1. This is the best thing I ever did, and likely ever will...
    2. If he throws one more cookie at me, I will finally understand why tigers eat their young.

    Anyways:

A hundred bucks worth of toys from the grandparents, and he is favorite thing to play with is a yard stake.

Lunch with Daddy, a change of clothes, and time to play farmer:

A couple more years son. And possibly a move to a different state...

He's finally nodded off for a nap, and I am about to make a dozen cupcakes. Get him nice and spun up before Mommy gets back from work.
Math is tough. Let's go shopping!

Awesome! He's gonna need to grow into that AR a little, though. Or, maybe an SBR for him?

It will be a couple years, but he will probably start out on ARs with this:

Enjoy the little guy while you can. Blink about three times and he'll be off to college.

Facing HS graduation for my twin daughters in May. Seems like just yesterday I was changing diapers.

    Cool pics.

There is nothing truer than this. I haven't gotten any older, but my youngest son just turned 14.

X2. I blinked and all of a sudden my daughter is about to turn 13 and my son is 10.

    Awesome pics!

Last set of pics from yesterday:

All sorts of fun opening presents. He got a fire truck, a bunch of 'Caillou' books, and a bowling set that he insists is a ball and several bats.

Dinner was pizza because I was tired of cooking. He was having a lot of fun with his sister.

Operation Cupcake went off pretty well. I pulled a recipe off the internet that tasted good, and I nailed the altitude corrections on the first attempt. Cupcakes were all iced with chocolate ganache. I whipped the hell out of half the batch to form a more traditional frosting.

He was sugar-high like crazy through bath time, but crashed right as I was ready to go to bed. All-in-all, a near perfect day.
