I know this doesn't exactly take a psychic to work out, but I told my wife last night over dinner that I GUARANTEED some guy would die in a hail of gunfire and get connected to this. I think there's a 50/50 shot that it was actually him who perpetrated the Monument bit, but one way or the other - he had to wind up dead. The only thing I was off on is that I predicted it would happen within a month - they got it done in what, 2 days? You can't have a major bureaucrat shot to death and let it be unsolved. Too many other like-minded individuals watching the news, stroking their chins, going "Hmmmm...."

Whether the guy who shot the deputy was the same one who shot the DOC guy, who knows. But now it's neatly solved and filed away.
