    Default Representative Lori Saine Email

Did anyone else recieve this email from Colorado House Representative Lori yesterday - It appears we are not the only group disgusted with the recent gun bill events.

    Representative Lori Saine (rep.saine.hd63@gmail.com)

    Fellow Patriots,

This morning Governor Hickenlooper will sign a series of bills that will infringe on your natural rights and your freedom, including HB 1224, a bill that will ban nearly every magazine in Colorado since most are 'readily convertible'.

Not only this, but HB 1224 will guarantee that MAPUL, a homegrown Colorado company, will pull up stakes and take 200 jobs directly out of House District 63, but also up to 800 more jobs indirectly with the suppliers that will leave with them: http://colorado.us6.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=17cfedd9076e89459c11765ac&id=d307da82df&e= 19d7a86b45

I read testimony on the floor from Columbine survivors who were against the bill as well as from Coloradans who arrived at the capitol-- some the night before, some at 5 am-- to wait in line to testify but were turned away by Senate Democrats. One happened to be my friend Karl Schwols who works with disabled Coloradans. His testimony read,

"I try to help disabled Americans engage in activities that help them normalize their lives. I help find ways for my friends adapt to hobbies, sports, and interests in such a way as to eliminate or minimize their disability. SOME of my client/friends have chosen to engage in shooting, both as a sport (much like what the President enjoys) and as a means of self-defense. For some disabled Coloradans, HB 1224 has huge negative ramifications. Imagine if you will, trying to replace a magazine without the use of one of your hands or arms. It is a tedious and difficult task, at best, and nearly impossible in a chaotic and stressful situation.

I heard, when the Representatives were on the floor, a representative say “we aren’t restricting how many magazines you can have, just how many bullets can be in each magazine”, but what if LIFE restricts how many magazines one can use? It isn’t practical for a young disabled person to ask a home invader for a few minutes break so he/she could sit at a table because it’s the only way he/she can reload. NO. HB 1224 places hundreds perhaps thousands of Coloradans that are MOST venerable at greater risk."

Not only is HB1224 another piece of artillery in the war on women, but it is also a war on the disabled who are affected most by restrictions on common-use defense weapons.

HB1224 is also guaranteed to make most Coloradans criminals by the simple act of exchange. I demonstrate this for the press corps at the captiol: http://colorado.us6.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=17cfedd9076e89459c11765ac&id=65bba0c6db&e= 19d7a86b45

Consider this prospective from a volunteer gun range officer: http://colorado.us6.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=17cfedd9076e89459c11765ac&id=88e2e93860&e= 19d7a86b45

If a simple act of exchange makes us criminals, what we will be teaching our children after these gun bills have passed:

    To obey the law?

    Or disobey the law?

Regardless, I know what we will be teaching our children in Weld County-- that elections have consequences. And we will teach our children how to knock on doors and turn out the vote in 2014.

In the meantime, it was reported that the Governor's office averaged 18 calls per second on the gun bills along with civil unions yesterday. Can we beat that tomorrow?

For the continued fight to refresh the tree of Liberty,

    Lori

Disability was not a point I thought of or heard mentioned during the process. It is so frustrating to have so many voices unheard.

    The Marxists have an agenda.

To disarm the American people. To destroy the Constitution. To enslave the American people.

I got that one plus another email from her. Both were quite the lecture on the consequences of not voting Republican...
