Its more like a cult. And just like other forms of liberalism, you must accept them for what they are, and everone else is evil and should be banned, arrested, deported, or hanged. Meanwhile, we just look at them and say, if you wanna be a vegan freak, more power to you. More meat for me baby.

Vegans and vegetarians are not the same.

I don't eat meat. I try to minimize dairy and eggs, but I definitely eat some.
I don't judge people who do - my wife does occasionally.

My thought process was based on this: http://www.aicr.org/reduce-your-cancer-risk/diet/ -much of the research is based on "china study."
I'm a pretty recent cancer survivor, and meat/dairy/eggs increases your risk of various cancer types once past ~5% of calories. (So, I'm hoping dairy and eggs keeps me around that range, but I'm not hyper about counting it).
I do understand the difference between RRR and ARR - but I don't think my absolute risk is as low as the general population after all the chemo and radiation - hence my thought process.

I wouldn't have chose this lifestyle, wouldn't try to "convert" anyone to it......but it has been much, much easier than I ever thought possible too.

How do you argue with a vegan...over a nice rare porterhouse.

Who do you think vegans associate with? It's the same person who wants guns taken away.

Not every vegan is a liberal, but the overwhelming majority are. Just like the religion of banning guns, vegan-ism is a religion for them. The difference is, if you're conservative and a vegan you have rules about what you'll eat. If you're a liberal vegan you want everyone to do what you do because they're wrong. It's not different than the typical anti-gun liberal.

I prefer the "brick to the head" argument from the video. It's quicker and they won't talk afterwards.

If God didn't want you to eat animals he wouldn't have made them out of meat.

Seriously, not all Vegans are nuts. Admittedly, many are, but don't paint them all with the same brush. I'm no Vegan, but I do follow a vegan diet for breakfast and lunch most days. There are some excellent reasons to consider the diet (not the lifestyle), and I've found I feel much better eating that way.

My parents are almost vegans (they eat eggs) and are as conservative as anyone here.

Now, the Vegan "religion" that has sprung up pretty much makes me want to puke.

I was raised vegan and have yet to experience a glass of milk or eat an egg (I'm now 46). I don't care if the person next to me eats a 100% meat diet three meals a day and clubs it to death with a bat in public, that's their choice. I didn't choose my diet, it was engrained since birth so it's about as far from being a "religion" for me as you can get, it's merely how I eat.

Rather than being all twitchy and worried about vegans, as the majority of responses here denote, live happily and confidently in your dietary superiority and don't worry about what vegans think.
