In a just society, they'd both get a bullet behind the ear and be done with it. But noooo, we've gotta be "civilized" and put 'em in prisons, then feed 'em and give 'em cable TV for the rest of their worthless lives.
Sorry, but if someone is guilty of murder beyond any doubt, they need to be offed ASAP. James Holmes, the Aurora theater shooter....I don't care if he's batshit crazy or not. He DID it, there's not any doubt of that, cap his damn ass and get it over with!

Problem is, all of the individuals out there who would do something like this KNOW that the worst they'll face is prison in most cases, thanks to the way the system is run. Relatively painless and we dont need a 100K of chemicals and technicians to get it done.
I'm not really down with the whole "painless" thing....personally, I'd be willing to donate some funds (or tax dollars) for them to hire a "medievalist" and camera crew to make it about as painfully difficult as possible and post the footage online as an example...
