    Try Dawn dish soap and warm water not hot. I would be reluctant to use some of the previously mentioned solvents unless you dont care about the finish on your firearm.

    I meant the goo gone sorry, if I recall correctly it contains petroleum distillates and some kind of citrus fruit extract.

    Acetone can attack many finishes. WD-40 works almost every time.

    WD40 may be slow, but it has never hurt anything I've used it on. 3m stuff is good to but it dries some stuff out, same with goo gone.

    always stick with a classic WD40
    as the legend/myth/lie was told to me
    WD40 was made to take off the adhesive from emergency aircraft repair tape (duct tape ) during ww2 .

    I use Goo-Gone at the Hospital. The cleaning crew is hell on Calibration stickers and have you ever seen what a nurse can do with medical tape?

    I got mine at taco zone

    I dunno, I think maybe paramedics would give your nurses a run for the money on tape use. That shit gets stuck all over the backs of those cars, ceiling, walls, grab rails, seats, etc.
