Best way to remove glue residue?

i use the goo gone and it works great. i have tried every method imaginable and finally sprung for the store bought stuff and it works.

Try Dawn dish soap and warm water not hot. I would be reluctant to use some of the previously mentioned solvents unless you dont care about the finish on your firearm.
