I had the irresistable compulsion to go pet my cat after looking at the bobcat's thick fur....![]()
Had one down here, was a neat looking big cat but he/she gobbled up our house cat that was out for a stroll. Dang bobcat was back the next day looking for another cat to dine on.
They sound eerie at night - my buddy used to have one that lived in the backwoods of his house in Palmer Lake. (We had one in Larkspur for a while too, although we only saw the evidence of it - never the actual cat. Clawed the shit out of our trees at low levels, and left it's fur all over.) They literally sound like a little girl crying...
I had one come through the parking lot about 15 feet from me this last summer over by Woodmen and I25 where i was working. I was hoping he would come by the next day so I could snap a pic of him.
When I clicked the thread I fully expected something like the second picture. I was happily surprised by the first. Nice shot!

Wow. I bet that bobcat would bring in $600-700 at a fur auction.
