Slinging coconuts since ever since...
Ok, so, this is the best picture that I have of my guns that I put in the oven so far. I had it emailed to me from another classmate who took it on his phone. There is my AR that was seen in the oven, my Hk that has been seen here many times, and my new 1911 design with a two piece split design upper assembly (friggen awesome). I will have better pictures later when I can get my camera out and take some decent pics.
Another funny picture is this one:
^ I didn't have enough time to do everything before we left for the Brownell's career fair, so I had to take the 1911 in the white (other than the slide which made it in the burnt bronze firing). I had to get some rattle can black from the front desk guy at the Marriott so I could make it presentable lol, this is the night before the fair. Anyway, as soon as I get back home, it's going to get blasted, and treated with a decent finish.

It looks a lot better in good light. The 1911 is something different, original, and great... At least that's what Jason Hornaday, the Brownell's, Dave Turnbull, and the rest had to say about it. I went to the career fair to look for a job, and every one of them said to do whatever it took, sell what I had to, to get my own thing going with what I already have. That was nice to hear! A couple of the big names left me their info because they want to be some of the first to have one of my nifty new 1911's. It's a good feeling.... All of that is a different thread that I'm going to start here shortly though.

Dam man! You do some nice work, let us know when you decided to make your own guns or open a shop. Would like you to make me a new barrel for my ar.
This is what everything looks like today... The AR picture was taken yesterday with clouds over us, kinda changed the tint a little.
These are two of the guns I took to the Brownell's career fair. The other two have been seen many times already... The 1911 is by far my favorite though since it is a one of a kind custom bad ass design by me (Adam Rogers). The slide has had the weight reduced by a ton, but the over all gun retains the same weight because of the nose piece that I made from bar stock that fits the barrel perfectly. So, it has an extremely light slide in comparrison to a normal government 1911, a lighter slide than any other full size race gun there is, and yet still retains the same weight up top. The barrel always resets to the same zero because of the nose piece also. The spring system is also another part that I enjoyed designing... I love this gun.... Now, to get my 07, and start going!
Also to note, the frame wasn't finished when I got to the hotel in Iowa where the fair was being held, so I had to get some flat black spray paint from the front desk, and put a rattle can coat on it (black) the night before the show. I made a little paint booth in our hotel bathroom. I still need to strip it, and cerakote it in graphite black.

Very cool 1911.
That 1911 would be a kick in the pants to shoot. Looks great. Very unique.
Very nice work!
