I've never been shot, but the little entry hole isn't the part that scares me. All the possible internal damage is what scares me. On TV and movies somebody's always pressing something on the bullet hole to "stop the bleeding", and I always think "what about all the shredded tissues inside?"
I'm sure there ain't a damn thing romantic or adventurous about it.
There's a lot more of us ugly mf'ers out here than there are of you pretty people!

I have seen many GSW's when I was in EMS in north Aurora and north Denver. Had a 22 come of a backstop at a range in Englewood and it hit me in the chest just hard enough to let me know it was there. They do go in clean and come out in pieces if at all.

Red,White & Blue means Freedom, until its flashing behind you.
I think if you've been shot and you feel comfortable telling the story, it would be a lot more informative (<- dont know if thats the right word). But only if you feel comfortable obviously.

My EDC: Handcuffs, Bandana, and Ball Gag.
If I'm ever at a party and the cops come to arrest people. Ill blindfold myself, throw the ball gag in, handcuff my hands, and hide in a closet. Police never arrest hostages!
Thank you for your service Boba Fett!!!
I was shot in the left leg 6" below my knee. Went off the bone and out with a 22 Didn't hurt when it happend. Didn't know I got shot. Then the burn set in. I went to the ER. Aurora PD showed up and laughed. It didn't hurt didn't bleed much. When the nurse cleaned the wound and stuck a small hose in the hole to the other side. It hurt like a bitch. It hurt for a day. I was lucky real lucky. So much could have gone wrong.

I yelled and heard nothing, I know someone was out there, but they didn't want to own up to the fact they shot at something moving through the brush. It hurt, but only superficial damage. When my mother put peroxide and took the long tweezers to picking out the shot, now that hurt.
