Default CO Springs City Council Candidates

As I couldn't find any information on any of the City Council candidates for District 1 in COS, I simply emailed all of the candidates and asked them their opinion on HB 13-1224 (Magazine Restrictions.) Also, you can go to http://ppfc.org
to see who the Pikes Peak Firearms Coalition endorses in each district. Click on the link on the left side of the screen titled "Elections 2013."

These are their responses so far:

Linda Mojer: "Hello d_striker: I’m unable to follow the link you provided; however I have no objection to legislative attempts to limit gun violence, nor to the recent actions taken by the Governor to do so."

    Tim Leigh: "
I'm pro gun. Think everyone should own one. With unlimited firing power."

Julie Naye: I apologize for my delay in responding to you. I am back East with my children visiting my father for the Spring Break and have just now gotten a chance to sit and check my email. To answer your question; my feelings on this never change. Any alteration to the 2nd Amendment, or any of our amendments, is a violation of our Constitution and therefore illegal. Up to now the other states who have passed these types of legislation have not been challenged but should have and hopefully will be on the illegality of their content and these bills will be nullified.I hope I have answered your question satisfactorily. If I can help anymore, please contact me again any time.Thank you for your interest and involvement. Every vote and every voice counts.

    Don Knight:
    "
First, thank you for reaching out to all the candidates to become an informed voter. Second, I am opposed to the magazine restriction, it does nothing to prevent gun violence. I believe we need to concentrate on the cause - combating gang violence and early recognition/treatment of the mentally ill. This is why the Pikes Peak Firearms Coalition endorsed my candidacy for District 1. If you have any other questions, please do not hestitate to ask"

    Joe Barrera:
"As a combat infantryman in Vietnam, I carried magazines withan 18-round capacity. 15 rounds seems to be sufficient forcivilian use."
