They even mention how he's from Canada and that foreigners shouldn't get involved in our politics. It brings up a good point, how would they like it if I moved to Canada and started bashing their healthcare system?

Eh, now I have another reason not to sit through his shrill, overacted, unimaginative movies.
Personally, I'm boycotting his new movie... I don't care if it's the funniest thing ever (doubtful, because even on a bad day Mel Brooks is 100x funnier than Carrey).

I always find it funny when people attack gun owners with either the a) redneck argument or b) the small penis argument.
In all my years of being around gun owners I have found the redneck quotient rapidly diminishing - and being steadily replaced with the pissed off, middle aged, college educated, tech worker. Not saying the redneck numbers aren't there, its just that the stereotype is ~30 years old and doesn't hold up anymore. If your going to attack using humor then there has to be a ring of truth in the attack. This just kinda fell flat for me.
As for the "B" argument. I've never felt the need to really compensate for anything.
