NY Gun Confiscations Start

I noticed this article. They take a mans guns based on the number of guns and a 'What if' defense:

Spota alleged that the man, 66-year-old Jay Steiner, had unsafely stored his firearms around the house and had the conversion parts to turn a semiautomatic rifle into a fully automatic one.


“Just possession of this piece of metal is considered to be possession of a machine gun,” Spota said. As a result, Steiner was slapped with criminal possession of a weapon.

Anybody with a Gen 1,2 or technically gen 3 PS90 trigger pack? They all have the auto sear installed. ATF if good with it (unmodified) but not NY. It 'could' be turned full auto!!

It fails to state the justification/cause for issuance of a search warrant . . . one of his neighbors called into the snitch line to collect a 5K reward? Far as I can tell, all he's guilty of is having an expired pistol permit. I do recall that NY wanted to pass a law requiring an "arsenal license" for having more than 20 firearms in the same building . . . was unaware they finally managed to pass that arbitrary and bizarre requirement into law.
