Long Range Shooter's get together

Not really sure where I'm going with this but here's my idea. I welcome other folks ideas.

I recently joined a Meetup (meetup.com) group for reloaders. This group was started by a fellow here in Colorado Springs as a way to bring reloaders together to share information, techniques, etc. It has turned out to be a really fun group of guys who really seem to enjoy getting together and shooting the breeze about reloading, guns, politics etc.

I'm thinking about starting a meetup group geared toward long range, precision shooters. Thinking I'd like to see a group who are interested in target shooting at ranges of 500 - 1500 meters and above.

Think there would be any interest in this kind of group in the Colorado Springs area? I mention Colorado Springs only because that's where I live and where the meetings would typically be held. Not intended to exclude those from other areas as we have at least one great guy who drives down to the Springs, when he can, from Littleton to attend the reloaders meetings.

Thoughts?
