    Default Veterinarians on the board?

Anybody on the board a vet? Dog needs a tooth pulled and my vet is telling me it will cost about 550.00.

You might call Western Animal Clinic. They're at 5500 W. 38th (just west of Sheridan). They're much cheaper than any other vet I've gone to. Just an old-school vet, who doesn't charge me a bunch of extra fees. Maybe worth a try. 303-421-5500.

But seriously, go here. It is cheap but they get it done. Had both my dogs spayed/neutered there.

Looks like dental is $75-135 depending on number of extractions. Pain meds are essentially part Tylenol so don't waste the $5

Pliers is what I would do. Dog will probably hurt less than it is now when it's done

Get a second opinion. Antibiotics might fix the problem.

Got the antibiotics started today. I can't believe that it costs this much for a dammed tooth. Thanks again everybody!

Word of warning FWIW. We had a pet in for two extractions and while the vet was "in there" she pulled a couple of extras because they weren't as healthy as first thought, and then we got the bill.... $750.00. What could we do? Have her put them back? We were pissed.

Tell that doc to go F herself, that you will only pay what you were quoted and approved ahead of time. If she thought more needed to be pulled, then she should have called you for approval first.
