A GREAT IDEA FOR HUNTERS (IN OR OUT OF STATE) AND GUN OWNERS TO HIT COLORADO IN THEIR POCKET BOOK OVER THE EGREGIOUS WAY THEY HAVE TREATED US:
We all know how much money hunters and gun owners contribute to the State of Colorado every year, especially in the form of HUNTING TAGS. Well, how about this year we hit em HARD WHERE IT HURTS MOST - THE POCKETBOOK!
Go ahead and fill out your normal paperwork for your tag and enclose it in the envelope, but DO NOT INCLUDE A CHECK! Instead, send a little (or LONG) note inside letting the state know EXACTLY HOW WE FEEL about the egregious assault on our gun rights by the legislators and the "GOVERNOR."
Some people are saying "well if we don't buy the tags, then out of state hunters will" (giving the state even more money)... Well, guess what? You have a until the day before your season begins to get a refund on the tag(s).. (and if you used points you can refund the money or the points)... So even if we bought the tags JUST TO HOLD THEM here in Colorado, and then get a refund it will have the same effect, and will actually have even MORE EFFECT! Think about how much impact that would have on this situation!!
LET US PLEDGE TO ONE ANOTHER TO DO THIS for one season, THIS SEASON, and show the guys in Denver that WE MEAN BUSINESS, and we will HURT THEIR BUSINESS as a result of the way we have been (and continue to be) treated.. I ask each and every one of you to do the "INCONVENIENT THING" this one year, forego the "big hunt" this ONE TIME, and use this as an opportunity to show Colorado that not only are MAGPUL, THE OUTDOOR CHANNEL, and others pulling out of this (once great) state, but WE THE PEOPLE, THE HUNTERS, and GUN OWNERS are going to do the same!
Another thing to keep in mind is that yes this may impact outfitters here in Colorado (and that is the ONLY downside that I can foresee), but hunters many times have not gotten involved in the gun rights fight because, quite frankly, it "doesn't usually affect their hunting rifles" etc... Well AR-15 owners and others also LOVE OUR HUNTING RIFLES, but we have been "taking most of the lumps" in this battle and maybe it's time some others get involved... Not all hunters but many have sat on the sidelines for FAR TO LONG! We are all going to have to take some hits here in this war, so PLEASE GET ON BOARD....
WE NEED TO FORM A UNITED FRONT ON THIS AND PLEDGE TO DO THIS PLEASE!
Please DO THIS, SHARE THIS and LET THEM KNOW WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO in the State Capitol, your local City Councils, in the Senate, the Sheriffs, The BLM, DOW, and ANYONE WE CAN GET THIS MESSAGE OUT TO..... (may have to "cut and paste to share)...
To all of my brothers and sisters in this fight,
    Sincerely,
    Derrick S

A lot of folks depend on elk and deer meat to feed their families throughout the year. I don't really think the DOW cares if you put in for tags or not, because plenty of people will regardless.

I can hunt white tail 2 hours away in Nebraska for $55 (out of state), I can also hunt antelope, deer, Elk and turkey in WY/Nebraska. I have no reason to support colorado.

I've been hunting in this state for 13 seasons. I've done the math many times (just ask my wife) and it is cheaper to just buy your meat from Wal Mart. Not as much fun, but much cheaper in the long run.

I'm not hunting in CO this year and I encourage all hunters not to hunt here either. The DOW can choke on their tags as far as I'm concerned.

I still want to go hunt, so I will put in for my tags. Although, my family (father) and all his friends, many are not coming in from out of state because of recent events.

Neighbor and his buddies are going out of state to Nebraska and Kansas.

Unfortunately it is going to impact the state, and DOW will be hit the most. We'll see what happens. No tags, no money spent in the state on fuel, food, lodging, taxidermy, equipment.

Do you guys really think the democraps in denver give a shit if you boycott hunting? I'd bet most of them are extremely anti-hunting and would celebrate people not hunting. They've already shown they don't care about the state losing money over stupid laws.

Maybe they don't care about people not hunting. I bet they do care about revenue being lost by the state.
