    i've seen the biolite stove as well, but have been told thermoelectric power is wildly inefficient and in most cases doesn't provide enough juice to charge a smart phone.

    Blockhead, does your biolite charge everything you've tried and if so, how's the time frame for a full charge of something we can use for reference?

    I've only tried the biolite with my iphone and it charged it fine. Not as fast as an outlet, but once you get the fire stoked it moves the battery bar. It would get monotonous sitting there feeding the fire if you were trying to charge your entire battery, but for getting a basic charge it's no problem at all.
