Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

Yikes! I don't think anyone said CNC is easy, or flawless... some of those look dangerous. Hope the operators were wearing PPE.

Have programmed, setup and run 2 1/2, 3 and 5 axis vertical CNC machines and some lathes since 1986, there are an unlimited number of interesting crashes that can happen. Carbide end mill shrapnel stuck in the wall or door is always interesting.

We had a broken window on a lathe here, so we wanted to see what it would take to go thru it. Took it off the machine after the replacement came in. A couple of co-workers shot it with a .357 mag, just spider webbed it but didn't go thru, three times too. not in the same spot. The next day they shot it with a 44mag. just once, same thing, but it removed one layer of the laminated safety glass. Sooo, the next day some one brought in a .50 cal handgun, didn't see that one, but I saw the results, it did go thru. Mazak lathe windows are pretty safe.

One day I'd love to ge a mouthpiece cnc'ed in stainless steel... Th acoustical properties of SST are amazing... But I've heard that SST is really hard on the tooling though.
