It only takes one scam to teach the lesson. I have been scammed hard myself and vowed to do my homework and be able to prevent crap like this in the future. Hope it all gets resolved.

Actually, I was just looking up his address to send him and Dalia certified letters stating my intention to file. He has responded to a couple of emails, last one stating that maybe it fell through the cracks and he would check again. He never follows up. I'm certain he's just stringing me along, so it is time for legal action. I've been pretty busy with work and should have had it filed by now, but I'll keep yall informed of the proceedings.

Dude, paypal... Why didn't you open a dispute? Unless they can show it delivered, you get your cash back. I've had two deals go shitty using paypal, and unless they can prove delivery, you win... I think you only have a three month gap though... so........ Paypal is anti gun, but a very safe way to pay.

Tried everything I could with PayPal. Had a lengthy back and forth through email. They had a rep look into the specific transaction, and final word is: I cannot dispute it because it was sent as a "gift."

I am having a heck of a time finding an address for Les Fletcher. His Linked In page has bogus companies listed. His Facebook says he is now in Dallas, but there is no current record of him there. I ran his background and it comes back with several addresses - currently in AZ. All I have for sure is a couple of email addresses and a good phone number - that comes back to NJ. He is quite the scammer judging from his criminal record.

I have a possible address for his partner in crime and Facebook "in a relationship with," Dalia Genena. She's been evicted several times, so I am not too sure I have a good address. Her LinkedIn profile also lists bogus employment (Net Green Medical). Again, I only have email and and a possible phone number for her.

I am considering shotgunning an email to all of their friends, employers, and family, in order to find out a valid address. May have to hire an investigator in the Dallas area, but that would probably just be throwing away more money.

I checked out the small claims filing criteria for Dalia's county in TX and found that I have at least two years to file.

I get spun up and can't sleep when I think about it, but I'll keep after it when I have time here and there.

Just got this email reply from his "current employer" as listed on his LinkedIn profile:

    Dear Mr. XXXXXX,

Mr. Leslie Teniilson Fletcher was a mandate for our company but was in no ay employed by the company. We have had no contact from him for over a year now.

    Yours Sincerely,

    The General Director
    XXXXXX Inc.

I figure I'll never get my $500 back, but I will continue to pursue him just the same.

Unless you are willing to prove that the aboved named person/s actually ripped you off. I would have you think about your liability in posting that he/she did. I think the only chance you have is PayPal. Good Luck.

Does this guy have a large online presence in the gun communities? Would it be possible to establish what his interests are in guns, and then set up something he couldn't resist buying?

    $500 lesson.

Get an actual Attorney involved, or close the lesson. You gifted $500 through paypal for an Armslist purchase with someone three states away with no way of refuting the payment if the stuff didn't show. People lie, thieves steal. They sleep like babies at night.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.
