Default Repairs shipped directly to your door?

Never had something shipped out, wording on the CS email confused me a little. Can longarms when it's been sent for repairs, be returned directly to your door? Or needs to go through FFL like any out of state purchase?

What he said, the manufacturer may send an affidavit for you to sign and fax to them stating you are the owner(only had it happen with Century) but generally a fairly painless process. If it is a handgun it must be overnighted.

here is the more official version http://www.atf.gov/firearms/industry...top-10-qas.pdf

Firearms shipped to FFLs for repair or any other lawful purpose may be returned to the person from whom received without transferring the firearm through an FFL in the recipient’s State of residence. FFLs may also return a replacement firearm of the same kind and type to the person from whom received. 18 U.S.C. ยง 922(a)(2)(A).

From the time you ship to the time it is received needs to be under 72 hours . . . unless I'm misreading it.
