Don't forget your US/European power converters, or your electronics won't be able to charge.

I may have a few of these and could send you one or two if you need. Otherwise, they can be purchased locally there for a couple Euro.

Most electronics these days can be charged at both U.S. and European voltages without needing a converter so you might even be able to get away with just a plug adaptor.

True with some, but not all. When in doubt, use a converter. They're rated by Amps and tend to be heavy. The plug adapters what I have to lend if needed.

Agreed. A quick look on the devices in question will let him know if he needs a converter or just an adaptor. For my cell phone I just take the charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter in the car and charge while I'm driving around.

If you are going to drive outside of Germany like to Venice, go see Prague. Great place for young guys to go visit. Not on euro yet, so food and drink are quite affordable.

+1 for Prague, beautiful city to walk around in. Great pork dishes in the square.

Do they sell beer? Then go there. Seriously the quality of the booze in German compared to the US is amazing.
