Mostly because you'll be hard pressed to find a FFL willing to do the BGC for private sales.

The perfect storm. By removing an outlet for Legal transactions by adults, that old bumper sticker / saying has become reality.

    Only Outlaws will have Guns

Yet as of 12:01 am monday morn, i could open a storefront and sell weed 24/7 LEGALLY IN CO . Buy or sell a 16+ round magazine and all hell breaks loose. 2 Kilo's of weed , GTG. Not that i have any issue with decriminalization.
BUT. If you read some of the comments in the DP "article" about the new law and the still undetermined THC content rating etc. The people say. Great, Doesn't everyone know once they have that info, registration then confiscation is next. The same minds that feel we are being "paranoid" about stricter control over firearms

If no one will do the transfers, it is a basis for repealing. Or civil disobedience.

Silly tidbit I realized. Today it is legal still to buy a machine gun, going through the paperwork etc, cut it down the 10" barrel, folding stock, order up a suppressor, wait, wait, pay papers etc. But OH NO you cant put a mag over 10rds in it. Thought that was a bit amuzing. Not that I think that needs more restrictions. I think by the CO mag limit law, belt fed's are no longer legal to transfer as well?

Actually you can put one in, as long as you owned the mag prior to July 1.

Also depressing to see no one has posted anything for sale as of yet in the firearms for sale section yet either.

Unless you get caught in some kind of sting operation, the law is unenforceable. There's no accounting for who had what and when (nor should there be). That's what the Sheriffs' lawsuit is about.
