Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.

Ah, well, you don't 'need' one. I did lots of backwoods hike-ins without one. I just see it as a dagger as a last resort if something attacks you, the pepper spray fails, etc. I don't carry a firearm. And if Bigfoot wants you, he just sneaks up within 30 ft, and does a 2.5 second dash. Your his! Dagger, gun, ain't make no difference.

I occasionally go about wearing my kilt, sporan and Claymore. I've had cops come up and ask questions.

Now if I were to have a high capacity sharpener..... that could be problematic.

Most municipalities have ordinances that you can't conceal carry anything with a blade longer than 3 inches. Basically you need to do due diligence to know rules where you are camping/not camping.

They do make these, but its way shorter, probably same company that made the military ones. If you have to stab a cougar or blackbear, you want the most length you can get, and even then your still in trouble. On the other hand, a good swing will take off its nose and give it second thoughts if you hit it just right. If they are old and hungry you are in big trouble. Bigfoot you would probably not see coming. Squirrels are going to be fast, but a good swing will cut them in half. Etc. Homeless bums, you just need to speak German loudly and act intimidating. Illegals doing illegal stuff, you need an AR...

Yea, I know that, (should be 3.5") Its not for in town, or downtown. Although....If its not concealed in the FORESTed areas, it shouldn't be a problem, but I need to know.

If you are reduced to a knife/katana/sword/machete/Nazi pig sticker against a bear/cougar, you have much bigger problems.
