    Anyone know of a good place to buy bulk corn for a good price that can be ground into a good corn meal

    Sam's Club. 50lb bags of popcorn, for $28.98, grinds up nice in a Wondermill.

    Check the Mormon canning place, I thought they had corn in large bags too?

    I've never seen corn at the LDS store. Might have started carrying it recently though. I told them the few times I have been there that they should carry lentils. What do you plan to use for nixtamalization?

    You can grab a 50 pound bag of corn feed at big R for $7 or so.

    Usually. I'd make sure it's 100% field corn before making anything with it. As long as nothing is added it should be safe. Most people don't buy corn like that for human consumption because it's tedious to prepare, and corn meal and masa are readily available at the store.

    By FDA standards, probably not. I doubt it would make you sick though, we weren't doing bacterial growths or chemical analysis on our food a hundred years ago. Unless you have some GI issues most people's digestive systems are pretty hardy. That being said, it's still not FDA approved so it's all at your own risk.
