"I am a conservative. Quite possibly I am on the losing side; often I think so. Yet, out of a curious perversity I had rather lose with Socrates, let us say, than win with Lenin."

Interesting thread to wake up to. Seen the sarcasm reach some dangerous points here lately, and I'm probably guilty of that and swear words. Between watching state and federal officials call for reduction in freedoms and over half my office being Obama crotch sniffers I tend to let the words I learned from my sailor grandfather and my time in the Army fly. I swear a few I work with don't even really care about the issue itself, just that Oblowme supports it. If he came out tomorrow and said for everyone to arm themselves with AK's, drum mags and ammo these people would go broke buying it all up.
Good going Thomas!!

Some one told me once maybe twice. If you don't have anything nice to say keep your dam mouth shut.

Very appropriate Ginsue, but sadly I must confess to a lack of character in myself.
When a new person shows up, and their first or among their first postings is to create a thread wherein they "share" their outrage that we are all not already outraged at their pet topic - when we've been discussing it for ages - I don't react with the charity that I should. Similarly to those who show up to post about the fact that they have decided to start a new group or event to protest, because we obviously all need to flock to their banner.
Its a character flaw.

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.
