Default Marine loses his s*%& in road rage incident...

Okay, this is just scary- according to the passenger of the vehicle (the one who filmed the incident) this marine cut them off and continued to slam on his brakes until they finally hit him. At which point the video begins...

Man he is PISSED! The Marine, reportedly a SGT from Camp Pendleton, absolutely loses his shit and even went as far as striking the vehicle and window, making threats. I'm sorry, I have love for my "other brothers in green" (Marines), but regardless of service or not, you do this to me I'm calling 911, and if I feel you may make a successful attempt at getting into my vehicle to cause me harm, I'm plugging you! I hope this d-bag faces charges, this is behavior not becoming of a United States Marine.

Ok, Marine's bad behavior is obvious, but there is also this:

"“He cut them off and apparently he kept brake-checking them,” said Lisa. “He would slam on his brakes abruptly. They hit into the back of him on the third time.”

The people following him had at least 2 instances to understand this was a driver with a PROBLEM and yet they continued to follow close enough to eventually rear-end this guy on the 3rd time. They need to take some responsibility for that IMO, but no one is going to focus on that much thanks to the Marine totally losing his shit.

^^^Agreed, they are both at fault here, defuse the situation by removing yourself from it

If the guy had shot him in the chest, good chance the jury would let him walk...happened here in Colorado before. Feel free to argue!

Man. The people in the car handled it well. Shoot video, stay calm. I would probably have wanted to also be on the phone with 911 - so that I could tell them that if he gets into my car before the police arrive, he's getting shot.

Not sure I would have wanted to pull a gun and tell the guy to back off. Maybe he goes back to his truck and gets his own.

Also not sure I'd sit there. After shooting a little video, if the guy doesn't calm down, I'm on the phone with 911, and I tell them I'm afraid for my safety, and I'm leaving, and I drive to the police station or some other appropriate public place - not sit there and wait for him to bash my window in. Because if he bashes my window in, he's getting shot, and I'd rather avoid that if possible.

Need some UCMJ action and maybe even a "Less Than Honorable" discharge.

That's bullshit. You're driving down the street, some guy keeps cutting you off and brake-checking you. You get into a different lane, he does it again. What are you supposed to do?

I like to believe that there are two sides to every story, and regardless of who actually caused the accident (who knows, what if it went down to a single lane in that direction? What if the angry marine passed in a passing zone?), the marine's behavior is inexcusable and he's lucky he wasn't shot.

Taking chain of events reported at face value, and it sounds like they could have done more to avoid the situation. Don't take it to mean I'm trying to excuse the Marine's behavior. But generally, there's plenty to do -- change lane, slow down enough to achieve a safe distance in between, or pull over if necessary.
