Posting in Certain Forums Prohibited?

I posted a thread a while back in the "Training" forum. It was in regards to a CCW class my wife and I had some openings in. I used my best google fu and couldn't find any rules on the site regarding posting classes in that forum. So I posted the class in the forum and the next day the mods pulled it down without any explanation. A few days later I was told there wasn't any written rule but Marlin must consent. I've sent PM's, but no response. Does anyone know for sure what the unwritten rule is? Does anyone know how to get in Contact with Marlin on such issues? Any info would be appreciated.

I read the rules. Tried to contact the powers that be with no luck. Now I'm trying to get some more info that might get me an answer as to what the unwritten procedure is. I was hoping that maybe someone who has gotten permission may be able to shed some light.

Not quite sure why you keep asking what the "unwritten rules" are even after 00tec took the time to link and quote the rules for you..

I'm guessing if you didnt get a response from Marlin then its likely safe to say you dont have permission to post up commercial ads promoting your business. Had you taken the time innitially to read the rules and asked FIRST you likely would have been grated permission.

I read the rules when I first joined the forum. I didn't think I was breaking any rules when I posted in the forum, or I wouldn't have posted. The rules say no posting without permission. Got it. How does one obtain permission? Who does one ask? There isn't a sticky describing the procedure for obtaining permission but somehow there is a protocol for doing so. That protocol isn't posted on the site that I can see so it therefore seems to me that it is an unwritten rule. Thats fine, I'm trying to figure out what that is. Trying to get a straight answer is like pulling teeth. It sounds like from your answer I'm being punished and that because I made a mistake I cannot get a straight answer. I posted this trying to figure out how to move forward from here. Is there no redemption?

You should have contacted a member of the staff. Got it? Now you are no longer allowed to post ads selling your services. Got it?
