Now it's time to say goodbye

I remember watching reruns of the original Mickey Mouse Club when I was a young boy. I always enjoyed the show and that was in large part to Annette Funicello. My mom told me back then that my dad had the biggest crush on Annette when he was growing up (this freaked me out a bit since I didn't understand the concept of reruns back then). My dad maintained that crush until today. I have always been able to understand his feelings as Annette was truly a class act. When I heard the news I immediately thought of how it would affect my dad. Sure enough, he's saddened by the news.

Rest peacefully Mouseketeer. There is no more pain, only dancing in the clouds.

I remember as well, god I feel old.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"
