I remember watching reruns of Mickey Mouse Club as I was growing up.
I have to wonder- do kids have anybody like Annette Funicello for a role model? (I understand there is nobody like her, but isn't there anybody similar?)

My mom told me back then that my dad had the biggest crush on Annette when he was growing up (this freaked me out a bit since I didn't understand the concept of reruns back then).

I know what you mean; I had a huge crush on her before I understood the concept of reruns -- very sad to find out she was my mother's age! Annette was always a class act; later Mouseketeers would have done well to follow her example rather than become the skanks they did.
