maroon bells are likely too snowy/watery that time of year. i went mid june and was wading through waist high and very fast current rivers with trees flowing down them. lets just say it wasn't pleasant. over by maroon bells there are some cool hot springs on conundrum trail but again that time of year it was rough. as the guy who we met at the hot springs said, "jesus how did you guys like that indiana jones shit?"

i wouldn't do maroon bells area til july or so. beautiful area though.
