Oh, and those among us who hoard ammo do it for drastically different reasons than "investing". My ammo is going to be fired through my guns. What at, and when, are matters still to be determined by people other than myself. I'll let them make that decision for me.
It'd be nice to own the companies making the band aids and bullets...

So that is why all that ammo I have from 1955, 1963, 1985 and 1991 works great.says bullets have a shelf life of about 10-years, meaning eventually the ammo that doesn’t get shot or sold will have to be disposed of some other way.
As A side note I have .308 bought for 12.9 cents and .223 bought for about 10 cents a round. and X54r for 7 cents........
Just saying.![]()

Sorry, I'll work on being more of a happy songbird, full of gentleness and the vigors of spring. Teach me how to be happy and loving again, Jim!
Just used 900 rounds of surplus .308 to help buy my new to me F250 last month. Got more than 3x what I paid for it. However I was much more upset at the loss of the ammo than the loss of the money.

I am wondering if the ammo shortage is just preceding a food shortage? The .gov wouldn't deceive us or lie to us would they?
