Hydro Dipping (Water Transfer Graphics)
A couple of years ago I had some AR parts done in Multicam. They turned out ok... I wasn't overly impressed by the work in a couple of areas, and I've moved more north.
So I'm wondering if any of you have suggestions for a shop to get a stock done at? North Metro would be ideal but I'm willing to travel for quality and quick turn around.
Or any of you do it your self?

I have used galley graphics down off of Santa Fe and 470. They have done me right plenty of times. The last thing I had done was my Mathews Monster. I had people wanting to by it from me left and right when I put it back together.
I dipped one of my SBR's in ATACs. Didn't turn out how I wanted and wasn't really impressed. I coated it with Duracoat clear (several coats) and things still rubbed off in all the high wear spots (which doesn't bother me) - where the wear spots happen the paint peels up in chunks/strips.
I used Galley Graphics and they worked with me on the weird rules surrounding the SBR (they couldnt take possession). Good guys and I am not faulting them on the above - just the process in general for anything hard wear.

Why not duracoat multi cam?
I'd be open to that too. But would like someone (who's good) to do it, that is the major advantage to hydro dipping: it's perfect multicam.Originally Posted by Gunner

Yeah. I grew up with the guys that own and run galley graphics. Have a few pieces done by them too. Super great people, hunters, outdoorsmen and shooters, definitely one of us.
My stuff they have done has come out great, and has held up well. I'm not sure how it would hold up on anything your going to roll in the rocks or really bang around. After all, it really is just patterned paint. High quality paint, but still paint.
