Default Hand Held Howitzer? Meet the .70 WTF Round

Just saw this. OMG!! I think her stance (leaning slightly back instead of forward) make it worse but what a good sport. I think what got me was when she took the bolt out..... Gotta love a round aptly called WTF.

Is this legal? I was under the impression that .50 was the largest legal caliber outside black powder.

I know who I want with me if I ever end up in a Jurassic Park-like scenario.

You might have noticed Jarod’s girlfried was shooting without a muzzlebrake. The reason the recoil was not uncontrollable is because she was shooting a moderate load (1200 fps with a 1132 bullet). The “hot” load, which requires a muzzlebrake, is the same bullet but fired at over 2000 fps.

The .700 WTF is made by fire forming a .50 BMG case and then sizing and trimming it to 3″ in length. It is loaded with a 1132 grain lead bullet.

    What about the .950 JDJ

And yes, she had an odd stance and an odd grip with her right hand (thumb pointing forward not actually griping the grip).

I would think this would be rifled. It really becomes a shotgun with a slug if not, which makes it much less impressive. I went back and found more. It apparently is a rifle. The justification is that

The inventor believes the rifle is not classified by the BATFE as a destructive because it is a sporting weapon. There is sporting weapons, such as shotguns and big bore double rifles, are exempt, the usual procedure it to obtain a letter from the BATFE stating that the particular weapon is a sporting weapon.

I don't know how much I or the BATFE will buy that logic but there it is.

I think that one goes from WTF to Official Video game BFG. Who says civilians would not be able to defend themselves!! Can you imagine the pink mist of PD shooting with these things. At a certain point just go get the actual Howitzer. I think a mountain Howitzer was for sale recently in the Trading section!!!

Probably because her hand hurt from shooting it...

Might want to pass that on to all the folks, posting pics of their Sig ARM BRACE, attached to the buffer tube.

It's for any firearm, but there is an exception for sporting shotguns. If a shotgun gets too unsporting it can be reclassified as a DD as happened with the Streetsweeper.
