I'd be livid. My kid would show up to school with a copy of the constitution, preferably from Larue, in his backpack with my phone number on it.

Why not a shirt printed with a quote like "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin. Would that violate the "dress code?"

Schools abuse millions of children everyday. I know I use to be one of them.

My shirt was a long sleeve denim with the 2012 Quigley Buffalo Rifle Shoot and picture of a guy holding a Sharps rifle.

I asked her why my shirt scared her and she replied "Because it shows a gun." I asked her if she was afraid that it would start shooting buttons? I then told her that a gun is nothing but a tool and it is up to the person operating it as to what purpose it will be used. I told her that more people are killed by hammers each year than by guns and that more babies are aborted each year by doctors than by all gun deaths combined. She still didn't think that a picture of a gun should be allowed in public.

    Morons are everywhere.

This is pure bullshit. The parents have the proof in the crayon dictation, there should be some sort of recourse beyond simply pulling your kids from public schools. Isn't there some sort of contract that teachers must sign that says they cannot say whatever the fuck they want? There should be no opinions pushed. Facts and only facts, especially for kids under 16.
I always hear the complaint that the universities are biased with the liberal doctrine, but I have to say, I didn't get any of that. Maybe it was because I was in science, but I did have quite a bit of arts coursework in literature, history and philosophy. There was not ever a push toward any particular agenda. The only thing close was argument writing in a composition course, and that wasn't a big deal because they made you finish one side, then argue the other. I would think the only chance for a college professor to push an agenda would be in political science, religious studies, or maybe an advanced economics course.
Did anyone here ever get an agenda pushed on them in college? If so what was the course and your major?

People who openly support Marxism are scarier than any gun.

A few weeks ago we went down to the Whittington gun range (great place!). My son saw a Hoodie that he liked and bought it. NRA on the sleeves, no way to miss the pro gun stance it represents. I had not encouraged him to get it. In fact I made him wait till we left and he reminded me so I knew it was not an impulse buy. He wears it to school and I have not heard about any flak from it. That has to be close!

The Whittington center is absolutely badass! My brother, dad and I took a road trip a few years back and saw it. We had no idea what it was so figured we'd check it out. Pure awesome. That's all I can say.

    Your kid makes me proud!

Also, I've determined we're effed (not that I didn't already know that) but talking with a somewhat "neutral" friend. He feels that all laws should evolve because society needs to be protected from itself. I've come to the conclusion that people are brainwashed to believe that pro-2a people are just ass backwards "good ol' boys" that have no clue how civilized society is now.
