But guys remember, there's nothing to worry about. It's perfectly reasonable for DHS to make these purchases. No need to be alarmed.

Also not to take the fun out of the article, but wasn't it proven that those ~2,700/2,400 MRAPS were always destined to be given to the USMC? (and the way they got there was through funky .gov sourcing?)
Well, you know that there is a need for a national police force that is a well trained, well equipped and as well funded as the military is. A police force that has authority anywhere in the United States to make us feel safe and secure in our government schools and government financed homes. I feel safer just knowing that the government is so concerned about my safety and well being that it is working hard to stop the violence that guns cause and make sure that my fellow subj... er I mean citizens, can't harm each other.
