Are we a country or a nation?

What's the difference between a nation and a country?

While the terms country and nation are often used interchangeably, there is a difference. A country is a self-governing political entity while a nation is a tightly-knit group of people which share a common culture.

It's kind of interesting to think about. I don't think we're much of a "nation" anymore with all the preaching of "do whatever feels good and everyone is expected to be tolerant". Thoughts?

We have open borders which dissolves a nation's sovereignty.

I think there are 3 cultures in this country, the elitist culture which uses the earnings of the working culture to pay for the votes of the entitlement culture, the working culture which is soon to be slaves (if not already) to the elitist and entitlement cultures, and the entitlement culture which thinks it is owed a living from the working culture.
