Can someone please explain to me what an obama supporter is and what they are voting for?

Of all the Obama supporters I've talked to or heard about not one of them could formulate an intelligent answer. Many looked to the heavens and said BO was going to bring world peace, others said the only thing they care about that BO was going save the planet from global warming, cooling, change whatever. Not one of them could answer a single question on what BO stood for.

Maybe I've just been in contact with the stupid ones and there are BO supporters who have a valid reason or thought pattern as to why one should vote for BO.

Nope, they are all very unintelligent.

I talked to 2 on the plane ride home last night. Both were basically young age hippes (early 20's) and not very bright at all...

Then during my last 2 day trip that ended yesterday, on the overnight the crew went out to eat and watch the notre dame/pitt game. (i am a ND fan and was very disappointed in the loss)

anyways, the flight attendant that went with us was beyond gay, and about 55. grew up smoking weed, etc. etc. was all about the gay marriage in CA. Was a big obama supporter.

either way, he gets going on how the state of CA should help the gays, and how san fran should be the starting point for the entire country to allow gays to be married everywhere.

Well he gets going on the church and how the church defines the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman. He says the city/state should be able to control the legality of the marriage even though it is a church function. I am not very religious and usually work every sunday so i don't see the inside of a church a whole lot.

After he is done on his rant, I just ask him this: "Don't you believe in the seperation of church and state, do you think the state should be able to mandate what is done in the church, and the church's should be able to have their views and beliefs engrained into the classroom to be taught as material with homework requirements and assignments on views and beliefs they might not want to take part in"?

He had nothing to say after that. I told him to force the church to do something for your own benefit is not a job of the state. if you want to become married, figure out a way, as a group, where you can have a legally binding marriage/partnership. Then i said just because one town in a very liberal part of the country wants to have something done does not mean it has to be a law everywhere.

Then i brought up the issue with concealed carry. I said this is the 2nd ammendment, it doesn't have to do with the church. it is a given right as a citizen of the united state of america. I told him chicago has no laws allowing its citizens to conceal carry. that is a law that can be changed and will affect those people. But I can't go as a colorado resident and expect the same rights I have here to be given to me in illinois. It doesn't work that way, and it shouldn't be that way for you either.

After that there wasn't much more talk other than he spoke of his trips to amsterdam and how he had "good times" out there...I just wrote him off as about believer in the hopes that obama will change the country even though it will be more costly to every single person in the country.

Then when i finished my trip, I had a short break in the crew lounge and watched a little fox news. They were talking about the small amount of money obama received from him illegal aunt or whoever she was and that was against the law.

two female flight attendants, one black and one white were the only other people in there. They were talking about how pety it was and it really doesn't matter. While watching, one of the reporters made an amusing comment and I kinda laughed about it. The two FA turned and said, what are you laughing at, you think it is wrong he gets money from a family member?

I didn't want to say anything, but I decided I would let them know what I thought:

I say: a law is a law am I correct? It doesn't matter if a drug dealer has a bag of weed or a kilo of coke, he is still a drug dealer. It doesn't matter if you are .0001 percent over the legal BAC for driving or if you are over .20. Either way it is breaking the law and those people should be punished. You are going to tell me just because it is a small amount it should be overlooked? what if we start doing that in our industry? The law is the law and it needs to be stuck to, not finagled in a way where the small people like us are held responisble for every single little thing but the politicians can do as they please. that is not how a country should be run.

They both stood for a minute, amazed I had soo much to say on the topic, then agreed I was right and thought the money should be refused because it was wrong.

Either way i doubt I turned their votes, but at least I got them thinking a little bit.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

    Great Pic.

On Obama - There are MANY people out there who believe that ths is an evil country, Europe is better and we are not CREATED equal and must let the government tell us what to do, because we cannot make choices for ourselves. I used to be one of them and most of my friends of the time are still like that. It wasn't until I wanted to buy a gun because I lived in a bad 'hood, that I started to wake up. My wife, bless her progressive little heart is still that way, but is starting to wake up. (She completely ignores my rants). So, no, Obama supporters are not stupid, or uninformed. Some I know are PoliSci professors, computer programmers adn are highly educated. They just do not know what America is and take the gift of being here for granted. They do not believe in our founding Fathers and they would rewrite the Constitution because they think it is outdated and does not apply to our complex times. The Global Village is what needs to be looked to. (ignore the radical muslims who want us to convert or die, we will just explain to them our way is better when we sit down to negotiate)

Watch California - Everything that happens there will work it's way East.
