Any other opinions or insights to WHAC? I too am considering joining and would love to hear current members experiences. I am curious if it's usually windy out there. Thanks!

Since I am part of the WHAC management team I am going to hold back on giving any opinion on the range because, if I did, you know that it would be tremendously biased in favor of our organization.

What I can tell you is that the wind can sometimes be brisk at the range, especially during the late Winter and early Spring. We like to think that this adds a new level of challenge to those long range shots.

We have been working on updating the webpage and the FAQ page was moved. It can now be found here: http://www.wildlifehunters.com/faq.html However, there is some information there that is going to be reviewed in the coming weeks so I invite you to come back and read these changes.

Well, I looked at the site and there's some good and bad. Price is reasonable, but I'd like to take a tour or at least see some better pictures of the layout and size of everything.

I'm not real keen on the 'pay us, then we'll give you directions' way of doing business.

To be perfectly honest, neither am I. That is something that got started by the previous owners and that we have moved away from. This is one of the topics in the FAQs that is scheduled to be rewritten. The new management team has only been in place for less than two months are there are many club-related issues that we have been working on, sadly, updating the website hasn't happened as fast as we wish it could have been done.

Feel free to contact me for a tour of the range. Our contact info is on the webpage.

Any changes to the "No guests" policy? I don't see the point of being a member some where if you can't use that space to try and introduce new shooters. Seems like a great way to cut down on membership to me. Also, any discounts for NRA membership?

Sorry but no, our insurance policy precludes us from extending the shooting range benefits to non-members. We do have a monthly Defensive Pistol Match and a Bowling Pin Match that are open to the public and these are a great way to safely introduce new shooters to the sport.

If you are trying to find a shooting range near the Denver area that welcomes guests you may want to look into joining the Boulder Rifle Club or Aurora Gun Club but I believe that both of these have a long waiting list for new members.

Currently we only offer discounts to Active Law Enforcement and Military Personnel but not by condition of being an NRA members. Most (if not all) of our members are also NRA members but that's because we choose to support an organization that promotes the shooting sports and our RKBA.

I figured it had something to do with insurance. I'll have to look into the shooting matches.
