    Default Camping and Fishing

I'm looking for a place to take the camping trailer and go fishing for a few days on a weekend. I like river fishing, but a small lake wouldn't be too bad either. I'd like a campground that is within walking distance to the water, and around 200 mile radius of Trinidad. Anyone have a spot they really liked that they would share? I have the trailer almost ready, and waiting on a canoe paddle to come in. I've been looking at the Arkansas river quite a bit, but I am willing to try new places. I would prefer a place without hundreds of people.

Ill give ya my spot, I'll give you coordinates if you give me a gun.

Seriously though the Arkansas is good, so is the Poudre. The best is the dream stream, I leave you with this.

I've been to Trinidad and Monument lakes once...maybe twice. I was looking at the Headwaters of the Arkansas, and also Spiney Resevoir, but I am going to add the Dream Stream to that was well. I am hoping to make a few trips out this summer. Thanks for the replies guys

Try Antero Reservoir. I do not know how far they have drained it yet but the fishing should be good as the water level drops. If you have not already found it http://www.fishexplorer.com/co/ is a great resource.

Try Clear Creek Reservoir, although ice may not be off yet... There's a campground on the west end of the lake.
