Default US blocks Wolf ammo exporter

    Wolf website:

The Tula military ammunition is exported to many countries via the state company “ROSOBORONEXPORT” (http://www.rusarm.ru) ONLY .
    Russian news agency:

"...(snip)...The sanctions against Rosoboronexport are valid for two years, and bar any U.S. aid, contracts or arms sales to the blacklisted entities. The order was signed on October 16, and came into effect on Thursday. A Rosoboronexport representative on Friday called the sanctions a "manifestation of unethical competition."
"We view the imposition of sanctions with regard to the sole Russian facilitator of arms sales as a manifestation of unethical competition," Vyacheslav Davydenko told reporters.

These sanctions only went into effect 3 days ago...it's going to take time for word of this to trickle down to the importers and retailers. Rosoboronexport is the ONLY exporter of Wolf ammunition from Russia, (according to the Wolf website)...and they are going to be cut off, for 2 years.

If you read the whole article at the end you'll find:

In July and December 2006, the United States also imposed sanctions on Rosoboronexport for allegedly passing on equipment to Iran that could be used to develop weapons of mass destruction.
Amazingly enough, AK ammo didn't evaporate during those time periods. They are simply limiting the ability of US weapons entities from doin business in certain areas. This is not a blanket 'you can't import anything from Rosoboronexport into the US at all' order.
