After hearing about them 10,000 times, I'm starting to get curious. This fall's angle is that honey smoked fish is an alternative to energy drinks.

We like it, but stupid expensive. We buy once a year @ holidays.

Honey Smoked Fish is a Colorado company that has a good product. It can be pretty expensive, but you'll find the best pricing at Costco. The other option is smoking your own using wood chips and either a smoker or grill - just keep the heat on the grill low and away from directly hitting the fish.

As stated already Costco has it the cheapest. It is some of the best "mass produced" smoked salmon I have had. everyone should at least try it. Though pricey still. I like it with cream cheese and (from the pic thread) "tasty ass crackers!"

I usually smoke my own out on the grill. The best I ever had was when a friend of mine went salmon fishing up in Alaska. He caught it fresh and the people there smoked it for him. He flew back with it the next day.

I have also heard the 4.2 million ads for the honey smoked fish company. I might have to try some myself.

My brother took me out fishing during the Pink Salmon run for the last 3 days outside of Seattle...smoked some fresh last night...good lord it is tasty

Sam's, Costco, King Soopers, and several other major retailers are starting to stock the Honey Smoked Salmon. It is tasty.... bears like Salmon....

I've gotten it pretty regularly, certainly not an alternative to an energy drink.

I stick with the original... Occasionally I've had a few with a strange taste.

It's better than the other alternatives since I don't have a smoker
