I personally know many gun owners who support the BGC. I don't agree with them but they have the right to there opinion.

I don't doubt there are SOME that support the BGC law (there's been Fudds for years), I just dispute that it's "many" (and clearly not "most") but even then there's a big difference between supporting a law in the abstract and fighting for a law. I would bet that most of those gun owners that support the law are not likely to march in the streets to keep it nor hold it against a politician that voted against it.

The fight ain't over, but our side is a hell of a lot stronger than many here seem to think. Of course maybe this is how the once proud state of California fell ... not from the strength of the leftists but from the defeatism of the right. If I thought this fight couldn't be won I'd already be plastering the SLC, Boise and Coeur d'Alene areas with my resume and emailing realtors (and keep in mind I'm generally a pessimistic guy ... just ask my wife).

The toughest one to repeal will be the UBGC law ... but even that isn't immune, lots of people hate it and its possible that the repeal of all the new gun laws will come down to a single bill.

KDVR this morning is reporting 72 "criminals" were stopped from buying private firearms as a direct result of this law.
Then they go on to say some aren't actually criminals but may have restraining orders, etc - but they are pimping UBGC as such wonderful progress.

Not directed at you obviously Zunfolge, just as a note of what we are up against. :(
I sort of hope we don't tie the magazines to it.

And the overwhelming response I've seen from people to this "72 criminals stopped" news is laughter, sneering and rolled eyes.

As for the magazines, I'd like to see it resolved by ballot initiative resulting in a constitutional amendment.

Regarding universal background checks....

If that's the case then national level it will go. Fuck it.

Wasn't BHO advocating that earlier this year?
