If I am a little late to the party on this, forgive me.
I was brousing the RMGO site yesterday and discovered that Jack Quinn's in C/S has posted a no carry sign. I've gone there for years, and never noticed the sign.

I wrote them yesterday, and I hope that others in the area will do the same. It is a shame to think that I might not be able to go back to one of my favorite pubs.

This is not good, I am a big fan of Jack Quinn's and was unaware of this.

Here is the link to their contact page:

Please write to them and express your dissatisfaction with this policy.

I thought I would share my letter to the CEO:

Sir,
I am writing this e-mail in response to a change in your policy. I recently discovered that you have posted a sign notifying patrons that firearms are prohibited. As a long time resident of Colorado Springs, and a very enthusiastic patron of Jack Quinn’s, I am asking that this policy be rescinded. I am an active duty officer in the United States Army, have deployed to combat in Iraq three times and I am also a lawfully armed citizen. I choose to exercise my Constitutional 2nd Amendment right to be armed for self protection. I accept your right to deny patrons that carry firearms, but I sincerely ask that you reconsider this policy. People that choose to carry firearms legally are not criminals and do not endanger other citizens or your patrons. In fact, legally armed citizens are generally responsible, mature and likely to deter criminals.

Again, please reconsider this policy. I know one persons business doesn’t have a great financial impact on your business, but I am not alone in this position.

Very respectfully,
CW4 XXXXX XXXXX

Sorry I'm so late getting back to this thread. I actuall received an email from the owner saying that the information was incorrect. They are NOT posted for no firearms.

Please note that the RMGO's "Merchant Awareness Program" page (http://www.rmgo.org/merchant/index.shtml) is WAY out of date ... I think they abandoned it a few years ago when the state went Shall Issue (and the change in the law basically took the legal teeth out of the signs).

Note that Jack Quinn's is listed (http://www.rmgo.org/merchant/merchant_listing.shtml) there as a "New" listing and the date of posting is 4/3/06 (even though it says the list was last updated 7/19/08)
