Are there any laws that prevent a person from taking an AR up to WY, doing a bit of shooting during a vacation, and returning with everything they took up there (including standard capacity mags that I took up from CO)?

Right you are. Wyoming is a constitutional carry state, but that only applies to Wyoming residents. We do have CCW reciprocity with Wyoming though. I have friends up there, and I always carry when I go visit.

Nope, no prohibitions on importing mags you owned before July. Have fun.

Lots to see and do there. We spend a lot of time in WY. Just remember the cops target CO plates as possible drug runners now as they should so watch your speed.

We went up 5 times this summer and always brought toys. Never had any issues.

But then again, I never travel without it! :)

Short toys always go. This is just the first time I've thought to take the longer toys....with mufflers on them.

While ok to bring suppressors without the NFA approval. IIRC, you cannot hunt with a suppressor.

I thought they gave you guns just for coming into the state? Help keep the liberals out that way!

WY was absolutely gorgeous when I passed through to Idaho in June to pick up my new pup. With no state income tax it is going to be a hard choice between Texas and WY for my retirement.

I wasn't aware constitutional carry was only for Wyoming residents, good to know.

Kind of ridiculous to restrict it to residents only, but I suppose they are light years ahead (or would behind be the better term) of the majority of the country, when it comes to 2a.

Headed to Wyo in a couple of weeks for lots of shooting myself. I miss living there, especially now that the gun grabbers have infiltrated CO politics.

No, just saying you're behind the P.O box curve. They are proud of the P.O box monthly charges.
