Best Price on Lumber

I am in the planning stages of a couple of projects. First I want to build enclosed storage cabinets in the garage. Nothing fancy, 2x4 framing, plywood shelves, and painted plywood doors and sides. Each cabinet will be 8' tall, 4'wide, and 18" deep. 6 cabinets total. The idea is to make the garage look cleaner by hiding everything in cabinets.
The next project is a storage shed / chicken coop in the backyard. 6'x8' floor plan with siding and shingles to match the house.
Where is the best place to buy the wood I will need. I am assuming I can get better quality and price than the stuff I see at Home Depot and Lowes. Am I wrong?

Austin hardwoods has very nice plywood, but it's twice as expensive. I bought veneered mdf from there for the cabinet doors I just built. It will stay straight.

The rest of my cabinets I used the "nice" plywood from Home Depot, and it's sufficient. I just knew I didn't want to use it for the doors.

Home Depot (at least the ones here in Ft. Collins) has some of the best framing lumber that you will find anywhere. Competitive pricing too. I did similar projects last summer with garage shelving and a 7' X 10' storage shed. I used OSB rather than plywood for the shelves. Bought everything at HD.
