View Full Version : Brandon Webb intends to run for an NRA board seat in 2015
I'm pretty confident most of us know who Webb is. Yesterday, he announced on FB that he will be running for a seat on the NRA board in 2015. Almost immediately, Webb's specific stances on 2A issues were called into question on social media. Webb attempted to respond to a few comments last night, and he followed up today in a post on SOFREP. The link is below. Personally, while I respect Webb's service and skills, I'm sure as hell not gonna give him, or anyone else, a blanket endorsement without knowing exactly where he stands. What do ya'll make of this?

Yes, owning a gun is a right, driving is also a right but you have to have pass a drivers test to prove competency

BIG discussion on the other ar board. real BIG. wrote a book was a sniper in the .mil that's all he's saying.
Myself i never heard of him. HOWEVER with his bullshit of the word COMPROMISE and COMMON SENSE. the only vote he'd get from me is for Out the Door.
After reading this essay I would never vote for him... http://www.brandontylerwebb.com/830/the-gun-problem-in-america/

He certainly doesn't hold the same views that I do.

Anyone know many people are running for this seat? He seems to be running with, what the libtard media keeps says, 70% of NRA members believe in background checks. This might show if that stat is true.
hmmm... The Bill of Rights doesn't seem to mention Driving specifically, but it does specifically mention arms and the right to bear them as one that shall not be infringed. How some schmuck equates driving as a "right" is beyond me...Certainly not an inalienable right as is assigned to the right to bear arms.

He wasn't a gun owner prior to joining ST3
May compromise with leftist libtards
License to operate a Constitutional right
No thanks.

To be completely fair, I shot on my high school rifle team and joined the NRA long before I actually bought guns of my own. In fact, I was 34 before I bought a single one (but I've made up for lost time).

The scuttlebutt is
1- he needs to be nominated to get on the ballot
2- he isn't getting nominated.
HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU BELIEVE WE NEED SENSIBLE GUN LAWS AND .[Bang] FUCK IT [Bang]

Thanks for the info and the sigh of relief Jim.

"I don’t have all the solutions on this issue but I do know that I’m personally ready to compromise to limit mass shootings, and I’m ready to have an intelligent conversation on this issue. If leading gun organizations like the NRA don’t take a leadership role in proposing realistic solutions, then they will have failed to truly represent gun owners. The result will be that politicians will end up passing more ridiculous laws that don’t make sense for anyone. The issue is cultural also, you can’t just go after gun control. Most silly laws passed, especially magazine limitations. It’s like trying to get rid of drunk drivers by shrinking the size of gas tanks in cars. Yes, it really is that silly.
Sometimes change, and healthy debate, as difficult as it can be at first, is a good thing. After all it was once within our constitutional rights to own and enslave other human beings. I believe in the 2nd Amendment and our right to bear arms but, if we continue to do nothing on the issue (mainly a mental health one) of mass shootings then we can expect more of them in the near future. Remember that when you kiss your kids goodbye on their way to school."

Dogs/handlers at schools and colleges are better than armed guards, in my opinion
