View Full Version : Broncos due for another loss?
It's going to be colder than a well diggers ass on Sunday. Seems Manning doesn't like the cold very much. I'm going out on a limb and predicting he struggles this Sunday and the Broncos lose to Tennessee at home.

Not going to say there's no way the Broncos choke on Sunday but consider this:
Short week with San Diego coming up at home (again) on Thursday. I doubt we'll see an all-out effort by the Broncos on Sunday.
Both teams have to play in the "diggers ass" to use your parlance. Tennessee isn't exactly an area known to have to play well in the cold either.
Indy plays an early game, and if they win, they clinch the division and the Titans are very close to being out of the playoff hunt. Imagine taking the field, at 5280 feet, in the cold-ass cold, knowing you're basically done for the season should Indy win.
Brady's single season TD record is still within reach. Manning would love that record.
I foresee Manning playing well enough to get a solid lead via 3 or 4 TD passes and Osweiler coming in to get some reps for the last quarter. The Broncos just have to watch out for gaffes on punts...
Peyton will keep it together this week without issue!
Just for the record, the only thing I don't like about Brock Osweiler is he got saddled with the worst initials I can imagine. Hope he gets some reps after Manning has us up by 28 in the first half.
Manning throws 3 picks because he's too busy screwing around with the glove and shivering on the sidelines. If I was a betting man I would definitely take the Titans and the points this week. I hope I'm wrong, but I just can't see Manning doing anything good when it's cold.

Heavy run game. Just my thoughts here. Manning will pass well enough to keep drives alive. Hard to hit anything deep. Screens to wide outs and hitting RB in the flats. We still win Sunday and SD on Thursday.

I don't see them losing but I do see Peyton struggling. He definitely doesn't like the cold.
Those old bones will be alright this week. Handing the ball off and tossing a couple TDs. At least 1 of them to Decker. I heard leeway bought every heater in the Denver area to warm the stadium up!

Broncos were definitely at a huge disadvantage against New England with the cold and wind. Sunday, I think it will be a question of what the wind does. Cold and calm, and I think Broncos will pull it off. Toss in a good wind, and its Tennessee.

I think that games like this are good for them. Last year they just rolled along the last half of the season and had no fire for the playoffs. This year they had a tough loss a couple weeks ago, now playing in the cold, I think this will ultimately (hopefully) help them.
Does it get cold in Tennessee?

Yes. I have lived through freezing rain and a 2 foot blizzard in the Nashville area.
Loss huh? Looking good for the donkeys!

Eating those words huh? It's all good... Manning looked miserable in Boston, but looked great today... I guess there is a big difference between that horrid East Coast cold and the "friendly" CO cold.

Talk about being right.... I predicted Denver would go 14-2 in week 2 and even predicted which games they would lose then. I'm also the guy who said they would win out in week 4 last seasons. I'm goooood. lulz
That being said, who are these tards who keep saying Manning sucks in the cold weather? Same jokers who said Lebron wasn't clutch and couldn't win the big game? He was hitting people in the hands all damn day long and they couldn't catch the ball. His stats were off the charts and just imagine if his receivers could catch.
Wait until Manning beats the Seahawks in New York in a frigid SuperBowl and then we'll see what's up.

Little warmer than predicted, little wind and dry.

:)
The traffic from this game really made it a pain for me to leave Disney on Ice quickly. I did happen to see that field goal though.
I watched the game at BJ's and the crowd in the bar section was full of fans that were much more quiet than the crowd I'm use to being around...that was until Prater's 64yd bomb; everybody woke up. Awesome note to head to the locker room on for the half.
We walked into the sports bar RIGHT as he was making that kick. We thought it must have been an exciting game and had no idea.
It was an awesome game, and you should have seen Prater's kick in person! It was insane! It was my very first Bronco's game too! I'm pretty sure I caught a cold at it too. dammit.
From that kick until the end, it was pretty good.

Would someone coaching the special teams let them know that - yes - it IS ILLEGAL to block in the back!
3 times? One touchdown called back. C'mon guys!

Peyton is back in playoff form! Three 3 and outs in a row. Looks like another loss in the first round of the playoffs for the Broncos!
that game was sad. chargers defense did well and they ran the ball and kept the ball out of mannings hands. I think our defense really needs to step it up.
Looks like the only Lombardi trophy will be elways.

Fucking pitiful. I'm embarrassed of the fans as well. Get off your ass and make noise for the defense like the rest of us.
It's funny to think that all the people who thing Manning is a wonderful QB, ignored the fact that in 11 years at Indy.. He had great stats, but.. didn't exactly win the games. When a HUGE portion of your allowed salary goes to one player, the rest of the team suffers.

While I agree with the unbolded part of this, for the bolded - welcome to the modern day NFL. The team that figures out how to de-emphasize the QB may win. I sort of thought a semi-disposable like Keaperpepreprpnick or Russel Wilson might be the way, but I can't stand either of them.
Don't know if anyone else watched the Wildcard playoffs but all I can say is Thank God the Chargers won.
I think the Broncos can get past the Chargers this weekend. But if we had to play Luck and the Colts again with our D, I think we'd be one and done.

Don't think SF is going. My bet had been Seattle.
I'd have to bet Seattle is going to the big show, but now that the Pack is out, I don't really care who goes on the NFC side. I'm already looking forward to the Colts-Patriots game this weekend. That has the potential to be a really great game. Of course I'm hoping the Bronco game is a one-sided blowout where we have a strong pass rush, solid secondary, a great running game in addition to a Manning air show.
One can dream...
It will be Seattle from the NFC and for those who are happy Denver drew SD next week... be careful what you wish for. They're already beat Denver at Mile High once, their defense was statistically worse then and they're one of if not THE hottest team in the league right now. I almost would have rather played KC again and am concerned about this game against SD.

Agreed. I just don't like how many dominos fell to let SD get in. Teams playing with house money can be very dangerous. However, I think the Broncos will show up ready to play. They know what can happen if you relax during the playoffs. They will not approach this lightly. San Diego did beat us not too long ago but Denver was very disinterested in that game, for whatever reason (Short week, thought they had it in the bag, etc). That won't happen this time...I hope.
Denver won't lose to San Diego. Rest assured of that.

I think Denver wanted to win that game more than you're letting on. Some teams just play other teams better. NFL is all about match ups and for whatever reason SD plays Denver well just about every season and this is no exception. Let's also not forget the high # of injuries Denver has sustained since they met last. SD really hasn't had the same injury bug that Denver has over the last month. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about this game. I still think Denver will win but it won't be the blowout some rabid fans (I'm a fan but don't let my fanaticism get in the way of reality) seem to think it will be. It's going to be a close battle and hopefully it doesn't leave Denver too beat up for the following week against the Colts.
San Diego has gone the opposite way of the injury bug. They've gotten all their guys back over the past month. Similar to how Baltimore was last year.

Exactly. They've gotten healthy and hot right when every team wants to. See past 7 Superbowl champion teams for proof. Denver is on the downward slide of that unfortunately. If they're going to make the SB they've got their work cut out for them and I'm not so sure 'home field advantage' is that big if an advantage at Mile High in January other than the crowd will be quiet when he's at center which is a good thing. Now, if he goes on to beat SD and then either NE or Indy all in 20-30deg weather en route to an even colder SB in New York which he also wins.... I think he quiets a LOT of his critics. As much as I love the Broncos that's an awful long list of things to get through and I don't know that the Broncos, as currently comprised, have it in them. I hope they do but I'm skeptical.

sorry after losing to the ravens in the first game last year, i don't think Denver will be in any mood to lose again.
I also believe that Manning was in worse shape last season than he would admit. He played well last year, but nothing like this year. He is as healthy as he has ever been, and is hungry to put another title under his belt before retiring. I see him here for maybe two more seasons, he has to see that his chances are as good as they are going to get this year. I don't see him wasting this opportunity.

Everything you just mentioned is about feelings. Do you think they actually wanted to lose anu game they lost? Of course not. Wanting something & getting it are two entirely different things & not every team can win a championship.

no, my meaning is that they are going to as hungry to win this game as the chargers are, they will bring their A game, my opinion is not more of a feeling than saying "Some teams just play other teams better"
That is a feeling, the truth is it is the NFL, you can win or lose on any given day. it does not matter who is on the injured list or who is starting that day. (with the exception of maybe the QBs) you could play the game of your life and fumble away the lead with 10 seconds left on the clock.
The fact that 18 is healthier this year is not a feeling, it is a fact, you can see it his performance and you can see it in his accuracy, his numbers,
His confidence is back and it shows.
The fact that SD already beat us this year doe not mean a thing. How many games go the other way the second meeting of a season.

It means nothing even though it was only three weeks ago. In Denver. When Denver was healthier and SD was more injured. I was in agreement until your last statement. Past performance is the best predictor of future performance and SD is in the midst of a 5-game straight winning streak when EVERY game mattered for their playoff lives. Seems pretty clutch to me. I still think Denver will win but I'm not as confident as some are that Denver is going to destroy them and I'm not thankful they drew SD as opposed to Indy as some are. To me it's a lateral move as both teams offer a unique set of obstacle to overcome. I happen to think that the obstacles that Indy offers are ever-so-slightly less difficult than the ones that SD offers. Indy hasn't played as well the last month as SD has. Like I said, SD may be the hottest team in the NFL right now and they're coming to a frigid Mile High Stadium in a few days.... Denver will need more than just their 'A' game if they're going to win.
AFC playoff.
Regular season record: We lost to Colts, Patriots, but has one win and loss with Charger.
I don't think it will be a blow out. If the backs keep running like they have been itll free up manning. It's gonna come down to tight secondaries and stalwart d-line.
Now if Holliday can STOP dropping the damn ball!
Will be good game for sure!

yes SD won 5 games, but if we are looking at past performance as the gauge as to who will win and who will lose 13-3 for the season would tend to lean toward the Broncos as being the favorite.
I watched the last SD game,SD recovered three turnovers and still realy didn't put the game away until the end of the fourth quarter. they played a team that was giving up the ball, had resorted to hail mary touchdown attempts and had SD only managed to score 20 points, the last touch down only came because the Bengals got desperate and over committed their defense and got beat at the line.
I realize this is just personal opinion, but i look at that game and see the bengals lost that game, i don't necessarily say the SD won it. The first fumble was definitely good playing by SD defense, the next two turnovers were not forced, the bengals just f'ed up.
When i watch a game i look at the reason the the game was lost. The broncos this year at least to me look like they won when they did because they were in charge of the game, they did not just get lucky. The Chargers were not in charge of that game. If they were then the score would have have been way higher after three turnovers. Fourth quarter, three turnovers and had not put the game away. That is the past performance i saw.
Recent history is a better predictor & that's what I'm talking about. The season is broken up into quarters & SD's last quarter was MUCH more impressive than Denver's. SD won more important games against better opponents than Denver. Each game they've played has been win or their season is over against GOOD teams & they've won every single game. They've been in their own playoffs now for over a month & have answered the bell. Typical fan to try to discredit the results of a rival but 5-0 in 5 games that are must-win in the NFL isn't an easy task. Bottom line: 5-0
It should also be noted that San Diego les the NFL at time of possession at ~33min. The best way to defeat a legendary QB is to keep them in the sideline. SD gets that & that's why they're winning & it's no mistake. If they do that again they win. If Denver is going to win they need their defense to step up & with all the injuries of a mediocre (at best) defense when healthy you're a lot more confident than I am.

SD has only won several of there games because of mistakes by the other team. KC only played 2 starters and SD barely beat them. If Denver offense doesn't makes mistakes and turn the ball over they will stomp SD.

We do have some injuries for sure. von miller was a tough loss, but with welker back, our offense will be pretty tough to beat. The D did step it up without Miller before, i mean they still allowed a lot of points to be scored, but they made key interceptions and stops when they needed to. The penalty on Irving last time we played really did swing things in their direction. you can bet that they won't make another mistake like that again!

Many mistakes have been made for Denver to be in the position they currently find themselves in. Bringing up other teams losing to SD isn't comparing apples to apples. Winning 5 straight elimination games in the NFL is tough no matter how it happened so stop trying to discredit that to make yourself feel better about Denver's chances. That's something fanatics do. I'm a fan but I'm also a realist through necessity. I've made LOTS if money on the NFL not letting my emotions getting tied up in my picks. Spotting a fan who believes their team will win every game by four touchdowns regardless of any fact is pretty easy.
Like I said, I think Denver will win this but not enough to put money on & it's going to be damn close. If anything that line w/SD getting that many points is looking better & better every day.

That's my only point man. I keep hearing super fans talking about drawing SD was the best bet & their going to blow them away & coast to a victory like their hyperbole will somehow inspire Denver on to victory through the power of positive thinking and all that. Anyone who's seen my posts regarding football over the years should know two things about me 1) I don't let emotion play into what I say & only use facts, stats & my own research & 2) I'm rarely wrong in matters regarding the NFL. Not bragging, just citing years of waging success.

Sure the Chargers won their last 4 regular season games to get into the playoffs but other than the Denver game they won games that were meaningless for the other team. Giants and Raiders are awful and they were already not making the playoffs, KC had no reason to even try and win. I agree that Denver will need to play well especially on defense. I still say as long as they don't make mistakes they will beat SD handily.

This....
I used to be a bigger fan of the Broncos until I moved to "the city", so much fanaticism it's kind of a turn off, especially the "we" and the "ours", damn Denver has a huge team. Any more it's almost as fun to watch all the butt hurt Monday morning after a loss.
From the sound of it, Jer is probably as big a fan as the next guy, but he's got a realistic idea of the team/game.
It was actually quite funny, one of my Facebook friends posted some major crap talking during the game Denver lost to SD in, once the tables began turning, the comments mysteriously disappeared.....

I don't believe thinking the Broncos hand a better chance now than in week 15 makes me a "fan boy". We have players ago are now healthy that weren't playing in that game. DRC and Welker can definitely be game changers. It won't be easy, but I think they'll do it.

Assuming Denver gets by SD, they lose in a rematch with the Colts for the AFC title, me thinks. Although, I'd rather they make it to the Bowl and lose there. 'Cause that would really shut Denver fans up. The only city with more annoying sports fan is Boston.

Nah, nothing shuts up Denver fans. I remember spending my first Christmas in Colorado with some friends in Golden, watching the '88 Super Bowl. Loud as all heck as the Donkeys racked up 10 unanswered points in the first quarter then silent as a church mouse for the next three quarters as the Skins came back with 35 unanswered points. Despite that loss, the DP continued to write meaningless garbage about the Donkeys for the next 3 months (and probably longer but I escaped Denver after that) in the middle of basketball season and even the start of spring training for baseball.
I will agree with you that Boston fans are even more annoying because you take your life into your own hands when rooting for anything but Boston teams in their facilities. I had friends nearly get lynched just for wearing shirts with their home teams' logos.

There's a video of what can only be described as a mob of Boston Bruins fans surrounding a peaceful Philly Flyers fan in a restroom threatening all types of bodily harm.

Bears. And before you go, "Ha, well that explains it. You're bitter," I'll save you the trouble. It's sports. It's 60 minutes of entertainment on a Sunday. I like the team because it brings me back to my childhood when the first things I learned to say were DA BEARS and DA BULLS. But when they lose, so what? The reason Denver fans annoy me so much is because they go on like they're a part of the team. "We are gonna smoke the Chargers. We are looking good this season. We are going to the Bowl."
No. YOU pay money to a privately-owned organization that gives you absolutely nothing in return. You pay for merchandise so that Welker can get millions of dollars for playing a game while you try to figure out how to send your kids to college. It's bizarre how seriously people take it. If the Broncos won every Super Bowl from now to eternity, it would effect the lives of the people in Denver in absolutely no way.

You have no idea. All day and night I have to listen to this drivel. At work, in the grocery store, you name it. First it was Tebow worship and God rewarding the Broncos for being lead by a pious man in a sport of ego (seriously, those people were out in droves). Then, the Broncos got Peyton and it was "OUR YEAR!". The Broncos folded in the playoffs per the usual. This year, it's a career season for ol' Manning, so the Broncos can't lose! Meanwhile I am pretty mellow since I'm a Red Sox fan and they just won the WS again. Broncos are looking good and just hope they win the SB just to add to my mellowness. If they don't, oh well. All will still be fine.
And guess what....I know it's just a sport and doesn't even rate on the importance meter. For a guy who goes on about how unimportant it is, you sure do go on about it. It's OK. You and Cutler have 7 years to figure it out. Chill.

There is a big difference between supporting your team and outright hooligan mania. Yeah, it's funny when the most contested items in a divorce are the season tickets for the Skins/Steelers/49ers. It's comical when you see people wearing stupid foamie things on their heads or wearing body paint (and little else) over half their body while snow is flying in the stadium. It's a whole other planet when "fans" will literally beat someone half to death just for wearing a competing jersey (and just to be clear here, I'm talking about the Boston example).

I do not like Rivers on the field but off the field, he is supposedly a great person. Big time family man. Goes to practice, then goes home to his family and 7 kids. Lives a quiet life and doesn't get involved in off field shenanigans.
Again, him as a player, I find it thoroughly enjoyable when he's throwing temper tantrums.

In CA, raiders stickers on cars, jerseys, is almost always gang banger affiliation/attire. So much so that people with raiders shit probably couldn't name who their team's actual QB is. So it's funny when CO/Denver fans "hate" against raiders fans, because for me it means something totallllly different from the usual football-rivalry. [quick fun example: almost got absolutely *random* road-rage-attack run off the road on my motorcycle at ~70mph on the freeway by douchebags in ancient trucks/suburbans, both times decked out with raiders decals]

I get that it wasn't you saying that I was just curious how it was exactly that he felt Denver had cheated. Sounds like sour apples to me.
Bottom line: the 4 best teams in the NFL are in the final two games so nobody should be shocked. I really don't want to see the Patriots in the Superbowl again. I hope Seattle makes it but I wouldn't mind if San Fran made it either. Two great teams that play classic hard nosed football. If Denver does make it I don't know how they could hang with the physicality of either one. I just really don't want to watch New England in yet another Superbowl. Tired? ROFL They just held the NE Patriots to 16pts in an AFC championship game w/countless DNP due to injury. Coming into the game I was concerned about the defense because I knew the offense was going to do fine. They answered the bell & then some. Because not one person had anything negative to say about Crabtree smacking him in the face as he had is hand stuck out but everyone is bagging on his 'talking' after the fact. The poor sportsmanship is apparent from both parties yet only Sherman is being called out for his REACTION to the physical attack. It's an emotional sport and one team goes to the ultimate pinnacle and the other one goes home in that moment. It's not tiddly winks.

He did. The very next thing that happened is a reporter crammed a mic in his face while adrenaline was still pumping through his veins after a rival struck him in the face. Of course he was going to be outspoken because he's outspoken normally. The reporter got exactly the reaction they wanted.

Actually, the reason Crabtree smacked Sherman was because after the play Sherman walked up to Crabtree and smacked him on the ass and started talking shit.... That's when Crabtree pushed him in the face....And that's why SHERMAN drew the flag for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Notice that he starts begging for a flag for getting hit in the face for being a douche bag.

Sorry Jer but there is no excuse to get on TV when the game is over, you won the game, you initiated the confrontation and the other guy reacted. Even if Sherman would not have been the first to initiate that little sequence, you still Dont get on TV talking how hard you are and how nobody calls you out basically looking like a POS thug gang member for kiddos to watch when they look up to the guy. No excuse.

Bingo. I'm not excusing shit. I guess I just follow football enough that I'm not surprised. In case y'all missed it a reporter found Crabtree after the game too and his statements were even more inflammatory. These guys are BOTH knuckleheads. Saying one is more of a knucklehead than the other because the flag was called on him is silly. Crabtree is a POS too but Denver isn't playing him in 2 weeks so no reason to fuel up the hater-mobile for him, right?

Agreed but Crabtree might be an even worse individual and I just remember the smack he talked leading up to this game. I'm not as inclined to think that what Sherman said to Crabtree (all we can do is assume and for all we know he may have even been trying to be a good sport) wasn't just payback for all the trash Crabtree talks. This is Michael Crabtree we're talking about here. For those that haven't heard of him before Google his name and see what a giant douche he is and maybe you won't think that what Sherman said/did was so out of line. Crabtree had it and everything Sherman is saying now coming to him. Denver will wipe that smirk off of his face soon enough but until then I'm looking at a stupid situation and thinking that at least one of the two douches already got put in his place and the other one will in two weeks.
All I know is Sherman is a quality player. He just got a little wrapped up in the emotion of the game. Seattle is a loud mouth defense that prides themselves in their physical play. Remember when Sherman talks smack to Brady after a regular season win?
I think it'll be awesome if the Broncos throw it every which direction except towards Sherman. He may be the "greatest" but a CB is only a small part of a football team. I hope PFM shows him how to circumvent the "greatest CB" and win the Superbowl.

He is the best corner in the league. I also think that Denver gives Seattle match-up issues. Sure you have some decent DB's but Denver has LOTS of weapons and Sherman can't cover all of them. Mix in a potent run-game and a defense that has looked better as of late then it looked all season long and I really like Denver's chances to win this game.

That hit might be a little early but if Julius catches the ball a split second sooner that is just a good block.

It's crossing routes and he was supposed to 'chip' him (calling it a pick would mean it was illegal which it was anyway) so if you think this was incidental you need to watch more football.
That hit might be a little early but if Julius catches the ball a split second sooner that is just a good block.
Doesn't change what actually happened. It was technically an illegal pick and in addition it was clearly a HARD illegal pick. Some beef left over from the previous meet, the fact that Welker was a former Patriot or a combination of the two? Who knows.

I agree it should have been called.
I agree it should have been called.
According to the logic from earlier if it wasn't called he was in the right. Just like a flag was thrown on Sherman so automatically he was wrong. Just like in every altercation where a personal foul flag is thrown the person they catch and call the penalty on is always ultimately responsible.

Pats had an equally hard and borderline illegal pick earlier in the game that had a Bronco come out temporarily. The fact that the Pats are now bitching about it shows their style. That's crossing "block" is part of the game. Pats do it, Broncos do it, every team does it every game. Too bad their guy got hurt, but bitching about it is poor class. If they think it's so cheep, they shouldn't do it too.
Sherman is a crazy tool. So is Crabtree. But the Seahawks are starting to look as classy as Oakland.
But the Seahawks are starting to look as classy as Oakland.
Starting? This has been Richard Sherman since high school. It's nothing new. He grew up in Compton, got straight A's, went to Stanford where his GPA was a 3.9 and now hes the best Cornerback in the NFL who's 6' 3" over 200lbs runs a 4.4 & has a 40" vertical. The head coach of the 49ers (Jim Harbaugh) coached Sherman at Standford and when the draft came up he was VERY rude and public with his thoughts on Sherman in saying that he wasn't any good and he wouldn't make it in the NFL. Well, he made it and takes a special joy in playing his vest games against his ex-coach he publicly said he couldn't hack it. Think he still feels this way or do you think he wished he had just kept his mouth shut? You don't have that kind of a story w/o having a bit of a chip and as for him claiming to be the best... that's a professional Cornerback for you. I promise you that when he said those things there were about 40 other CB's watching saying 'Like hell you are... I am!' You want your CB to think they're the best because when you put them alone and expect them to make the play to save the day you want them to be supremely confident. What he said was still in the heat of battle and he had just made maybe the best play in franchise history to take them to only their 2nd Superbowl ever. So you take a fiery competitor that has never shied away from talking, put him against the same type of player in a Niners uniform that has been been 'Richard Shermaning' it up longer than even Richard Sherman, have him stop a game winning play that probably no other corner in the NFL could have stopped and then have him get physically shoved in the face by said Niner seconds before having a mic crammed in his face and the specific questions asked by pros who's job it is to get that EXACT reaction and then act shocked when it happens. Face it, Crabtree is a cry baby prick and what's getting lost in this whole story is that HE BROUGHT ON EVERYTHING HE GOT WITH HIS OWN ATTITUDE THAT HAS BEEN EVEN WORSE THAN SHERMAN'S! Somehow that keeps getting lost in all of this. How would you feel right now if, as you all put it earlier, DT crushes him and then puts him in his place after the game? You'd feel like justice was served... wouldn't you? That's what JUST happened to Michael Crabtree. The guy is a douche of epic proportions who's been running his mouth for far too long and has been personally antagonizing Richard Sherman. Well, that bit him in the ass because when it came time to walk the walk Crabtree came up short once again and Sherman walked the walk as he always does. The people who have a problem with Sherman don't GET professional football or don't watch enough to know what's really going on. Sure, I can see where this taken in a snap shot by someone who doesn't know anything else can look bad (just like some people cringe about firearm things that don't know the first thing about them) but those who know know better. This is the same thing. I assure you that that person isn't Richard Sherman but he 1) was provoked for months beforehand by Crabtree and 2) is smart enough to know what gets ratings and attention. It also doesn't epitomize the Seahawks as a team any more than Bill Romanowski summed up the Broncos when he played here.

I keep hearing people saying the same thing Jer is saying about Sherman: "It was the heat of the moment" "He was in warrior mode and had a mic shoved in his face" "The other guy started it." Whatever. That kid needs to grow up, shut his mouth, and act like the professional he is being paid to be. Let's not forget these are grown men, getting paid millions to play a game. There are literally hundreds of other players out there playing their hearts out who don't feel the need to talk trash after a win in order to validate themselves. Get over yourself, play your best, collect your insanely large paycheck, and go home. I didn't see Peyton talking trash to Brady after the AFC game. Why? Because he's a professional and he knows how a man is supposed to conduct himself.

He's a professional game-player, so he should be professional is how I read it. It's one thing to do trash-talking in your neighborhood pick-up game, another where you're being paid millions. If I do a great job programming some database code, I don't suddenly go around yelling "I'm the best coder there is!" and trash-talking others around me.
I like Champ Bailey's way. If you're that good, let the play do the talking.
But I know it's football and most of these guys have huge ego's that need attention from time to time.

i dont have time to watch more than one game a week usually. the broncos and whatever team they are playing is about the extent of my time i can devote.
this last couple of weeks i wanted to see what the competition was going to be like for us in the post season. i watched the seahawks game this weekend and for the most part was unimpressed.
wilson has a better arm, but looks a lot like tebow in his overall game plan. same for kaepernick for that matter, the play looked slopppy, outside the pocket throwing on the run all the time. looked a lot like college ball. i know their record. outside the pocket against the fastest defense in the league, i think he is going to get a rude awakening come super sunday.
trevathon, bailey, carter, philips, are going to have a field day with him. JMHO
