So a quick background. I was a chef for 15 years in small to very large restaurants. I'm very capable of handling high stress situations, multi-tasking etc. I've been in sales for almost 2 years and have been doing very well by my companies standards, 1 million in sales in the first 12 months employed and 1.3 million in the first calendar year. I'm looking to make a change into a company that has less micromanagement.

I'm confident that I could sell just about anything but would only take a job selling something I believe in, and and am interested in. Basically I'm looking for a solid company that I can settle into for the long run and start making moves eventually to get back into management.

If anyone has any leads or ideas I'm all ears. I'm sick of leaving work pissed off 60% of the time, the money just isn't worth it now that I have a kid. Let me know guys....any help is appreciated greatly.

THANKS!

Hrm, maybe. Don't know if it's exactly what you're looking for, but perhaps marketing coordinator (https://www.wilanddirect.com/node/138)?

I was a chef at the Tuscany restaurant in the Loews Denver hotel. I miss cooking a lot but not in a hurry to go back.
I hope you find something that makes you happy.

As long as you have good reserve and ready to be independent, look into becoming Loan Originator or Realtor. When I started out 10 years ago, my first 2 months I was building up my pipeline and didnt take home any $. Third month, I got a 32k check and I never looked back.

Easiest product to sell in the world is money after all.

I miss it sometimes but the pay scale here is out of whack. It drove me out of the business.

i know italco pretty well and it would pretty much be a dream job for me, lately though money is everything and I don't think the warning potential I'm looking for exists.

Live always had a 6 month minimum reserve but having my son 7.5 weeks early kicked my ass this past year. Between an extra 3 months of maternity leave for the wife, no maternity pay for her for over 5 months, massive medical bills and finishing my basement I'm not in a position to do anything like this at the moment. Maybe we can grab lunch one day and talk about it a bit for the future.

I'm not sure what you want/need to make, but the inside sales job at Italco could be a great job for you. I worked for them for many years as a sales rep. Prob 6yrs. The family that owns it are now very close friends of mine. I consider them family and I have not worked for them in over 14 years. We keep in contact all the time.
Worth giving them a call. For a food lover, it is a FANTASTIC atmosphere.
If you would like any info or more insight, Please feel free to pm me.

Do you have room for everybody?

Experience as a chef, experience in sales, experience in management, tired of working for someone else... Dude it sounds like you should run one of those catering trucks that parks at different businesses during lunch hours. Not sure if that's appealing to you, but it seemed like the logical conclusion, given your background.

Reminds me of bidding on unpaid storage units and selling the contents for profit- the Denver market is oversaturated already and competition is fierce.
